Recreational Pilot Course
The journey of 1,000 miles starts with a single step; your recreational pilot license is that step. This course teaches you the “ups and downs” if you will. You will learn the basics of planning a flight around our Aurora Airport, what it takes to stay proficient and most importantly, you’ll learn to fly. The Recreational Pilot Course will allow you to dip your toe into the aviation “pool” and see what being a pilot is all about.
The Recreational Pilot Course is perfect for the hobby aviator who wants to stay close to his home airport and just enjoy flying the local Chicago Area. You need to have logged no less than 30 hours of total flying time, at least 15 of it with a flight instructor and 3 of it by yourself. Remembering that everyone learns at a different rate, it takes most people more than the required hours to get the job done. Ignore the minimums – Maximum Performance Flight Training will make sure you’re following the rules. You just focus on learning to be a safe pilot.
